Come meet me in Los Angeles, bring weed

Next week I've got some meetings in Los Angeles and will be there for a few days, and a friend of mine has helped me set up a meet-and-greet for a few hours while I'm there. I know I haven't held a meet-and-greet in every city I've visited, and most recently I got some hatemail because I didn't schedule one for the time I spent in Kansas City. There are a few reasons for this: sometimes I'm not in town long enough to attend such a gathering (I was in Kansas City for less than 36 hours), and often finding a place that is willing to host this event is nearly impossible. In fact, in both Austin and Brooklyn we got kicked out of the venues. Those dooce readers are an unruly bunch! All that talking and hugging and comparing purses.

I promise, next time I'm in Kansas City for more than a day, I'll organize a meet-up. Preferably at a restaurant that serves nothing but barbecue.

I know this is short notice, but if you're in the Los Angeles area on Monday afternoon I'd love for you to stop by and say hi and grab an early cocktail. The details:

Key Club
9039 Sunset Boulevard
West Hollywood, CA 90069

Monday, November 10th
From 4:00PM - 7:00PM

We have to be out of the building by seven sharp because they have to set up for Metal Skool, who sadly are not allowed under any circumstances to play with pyrotechnics on stage, and that includes fire breathing. However, they didn't say anything about me playing with open flames, so if you're not sure what I look like, I'll be the one in the corner with a lighter under my butt.

One note: there might be cameras there filming footage for a news piece, just want to give you a heads up in case you don't want your mom to find out that you associate with such questionable characters as myself. Also, who knows! Maybe one or two or fifteen of my ex-boyfriends will show up and we can all stand around in awkward silence together!

Hope to see you there.

  • Hugs and kisses to you, too! RT: @Monkey_Tree: @dooce he probably committed suicide because he was tired of LISTENING TO YOU WHINE.
  • Our fish just died. And I'm sitting here crying. And it wasn't even my fault!
