Internet, I'm craving Doritos
I had a sonogram this morning, and everything looks wonderfully normal. The last several weeks have been totally nerve-wracking, and I cannot describe the relief I felt seeing two tiny hands waving about and a steady, rhythmic heartbeat. Due date is June 14th.

I recently graduated from college, started working in a big city, and now I'm sort of a grown-up which means my job is so boring it feels like I have a permanent popsicle brain freeze. One of my internet savvy girlfriends sent me the link to your website and now I read everyday- the first post I read was about you running with coco teaching her how to chase sheep. I read it at work and tried to muffle my laughter by loudly hitting the space bar and pretending to blow my nose, but it didn't work and my boss looked at me funny and I had to stop reading. BUT I COULDN'T STOP and I kept torturing myself because I wanted to laugh but I couldn't... torture! I read everyday, and since the election is over and my job has slowed down (I work for the good side...) I have taken to reading the archives. I started the Leta archives today and have already cried twice and now you're having another one!!! I can't wait! Best wishes! Thank you for writing!

Heartfelt congratulations! I hope all goes well for the duration. We had a very early m/c of a happy accidental pregnancy back in '06 when we were newlywed and more careless than careful. Haven't yet tried again due to financial concerns - can't wait until it won't be irresponsible of us to really go for it. We'll continue to live vicariously through your storytelling for now. Oh well, you've let me read about so many intimate details about your family that I feel like it's ok for me to be thrilled. And so, I'm THRILLED for you. I'm so happy for you and so proud of you for trying again. I know how brave you need to be to not give up.
I suffered two miscarriages and lost a 7 month old daughter after she caught a virus and a 3 day old son when he was misdiagnosed by a small town doctor that thought he had everything under control. So I know about loss.
Anyway, I now have a beautiful 5 year old daughter and a wonderful 3 year old son. I am so glad that I never gave up on having a family. Actually Leta reminds me so much of my Sophia. They would be trouble together.
Congratulations! I think you're a great Mom. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Holy Crap! I've been craving Doritos for the last week, so when I saw that headline in my google reader, I started to say out loud (to precisely no one)"Heather and I are on the same page right there." But then I opened the whole post and saw the pregnancy test and broke out into a cold sweat because, as happy as I am for you. . . that is NOT what I want my doritos craving to be about!
Congratulations. . .and to echo all the rest: may it be smooth sailing and a very uneventful pregnancy!

I am SO HAPPY for you. and super excited about how you're gonna make all the rest of our ovaries hurt for AT LEAST a year (for me, probably more like two).
I was secretly thinking about you and sending good thoughts to your uterus, too. :)
Want us to ship you Doritos? If each of the people reading ships you a bag a day, you'd be covered for, like, 18 kids! ;)

Is that why you went dark with your hair? I thought something fishy was up. I'm a salon baby (mom owns a salon here in Knoxville) and that's the first question I ask when someone quits getting highlights and color all together. Is she pregnant? :) CONGRATS either way!
