A Story About Someone Else’s Ass

(While I’m out of the country, I’m reposting some content from my archives. This one was originally published in the fall of 2004. I thought we’d play a bit with the Boone theme.) Last week I had a huge portion of my extended family in town for the wedding of one of my cousins, perhaps [...]

Puppers in Malibu

This was the only time we ever took Chuck to a beach. He’s about four months old here, and what you don’t see is the giant hole he spent an hour digging in the sand, spraying it all over everything. TOTAL COCO MOVE, BRO.

Hunter

Hunter is McKenzie’s older brother (he’s younger than Jordan). Do you see those manly eyebrows? That’s exactly what mine looked like in high school. Hey, MOM. Why did you let that happen?

Careless Whispers

(While I’m out of the country, I’m reposting some content from my archives. This one was originally published at the very beginning of 2003 when Jon and I were broke and living in my mom’s basement.) Aside from the fact that this creation is maddeningly brilliant (link via TMN), and I’ve played it probably a [...]

Rainbow pony!

Now that I think about it, when he ears go all wonky like that he’s saying, “Remember all those times I don’t come when called?”

Jordan

Remember what I said about the hair? This is McKenzie’s oldest brother Jordan. Sorry, ladies (and guys), he’s got a serious girlfriend and she’s just as hot. Oh yes, I did just call my cousin hot. I AM SOUTHERN SO I AM ALLOWED TO.

I Am So Not Kidding About This

(While I’m out of the country, I’m reposting some content from my archives. This one was originally published in the fall of 2002 when we were living in Los Angeles.) So there’s a certain adult dog in the neighborhood, a pure bred male who still sports a rather large set of testicles. This dog is [...]

First day home

I thought I’d share an oldie since I’m going to be going back through my archives. This photo was taken within an hour of bringing Chuck home from the ASPCA in Pasadena. Just a little guy who would one day mean so much to so many.

Timmy

This is McKenzie’s father, Tim Boone, my mother’s youngest brother. Handsome man who fathered four incredibly beautiful, talented children. Also, that Boone hair saw its way into the next generation like it has with my own children. You could call us all That Family With The Hair.

Grab your backpack!

Hey! How you doin’? So, tomorrow I’m headed out of town, and then out of the country to another continent in another hemisphere. A couple of months ago, Christy Turlington asked if I’d like to join her as a guest to visit maternal health clinics in Bangladesh with her organization Every Mother Counts. We’ll also [...]
