This is a close-up of the chicken wire lining Kate’s chicken coop. It reaches two feet into the ground to keep them safe from wildlife. If we had chickens it would have to go an extra ten feet deeper to keep out Coco, and yet I still think I’d wake up one morning and have to explain to Marlo that we were a chicken short because God wanted that one back.
