New Tunes – Hot Chip

The following song “Let Me Be Him” is off the recently released fifth album by this English electronic band. If you haven’t heard two of the previous albums, One Life Stand and Warning, do yourself a favor and set aside some time. I think what sets Hot Chip apart from other artists in this genre is just how sweet a lot of their music can be. Electronic music can be really cold, and it often makes you think about nothing but a sweaty nightclub. But these guys can take all those quirky sounds and beats and craft it into something that radiates warmth, something that can trigger unexpected emotion.
