Parlovr is a three man indie rock band out of Montreal, Quebec. There isn’t really a concise way to describe their sound: it’s slightly off-kilter, at times romantic, and then it rips everything to shreds. The combination of it all, including occasional touches of falsetto, has HEATHER WILL EAT THIS UP written all over it.
The first song I’m featuring, “Pen to the Paper,” is off of their 2010 self-titled album, and I love that it’s determined and steady, just moving along, and then all hell breaks loose:
