Hankering

2012/10/11

This morning as I was walking Marlo into preschool I couldn’t ignore the nagging nip in the air and what that means in the coming months for our morning routine. If I think it’s hard getting two kids out of the house now, just wait until I have to dress them in six layers of winter clothes. And boots. And hats. And gloves that haven’t dried out from yesterday’s snowstorm, IF WE CAN FIND THEM.

So I’m daydreaming about going out for the night in something easy and light, not worrying about puddles of melting snow or temperatures dropping below freezing. Or homework or piano practice or making sure all their back teeth are brushed. Just me, the setting sun, and a kickass dress.

Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Scarf: Tory Burch
Sunglasses: Vogue
Lipgloss: NARS Larger Than Life
Bracelets: Marc by Marc Jacobs and Noir Jewelry
Heels: Michael Antonio
Ring: Bita Pourtavoosi
Clutch: Franchi Handbags
