I remember getting dressed up for holiday parties when I worked in an office (the parties themselves are a little blurred by dirty vodka martinis). But now that I work from home a holiday party is a pair of snowflake-patterned pajama bottoms, a huge bowl of popcorn, and repeated viewings of Elf with the kids. I like the current version, but sometimes I’m nostalgic for those heady parties and the prospect of sleeping in the following morning. Mostly the sleeping in part.
