Take us with you

Why do they have to be so attentive, and not in a way that’s loving. Not, “Can I rub your feet?” or even, “Here, I’ve fixed you a hot dog.” They pick up on very selective details, like me taking a few more socks than usual out of my drawer which screams TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL. And then they spend that evening pacing and the following morning walking laps around my luggage. That really helps ease my pre-travel anxiety, two dogs giving me every indication that once I leave they are going to feel vengeful and poop right in the middle of my couch.
