This one was taken in Autumn as well, on the same walk as that other one people thought was taken in the Spring

So pretty. I love fall leaves.

Although it looks nasty & rainy enough outside to make me doubt that autumn was ever really here, and maybe that photo was just beamed to you by aliens.

So sad. Poor little lonely red leaf. Come here. I'll hug you.

Such different vegetation than we have here in Ca-na-da, that big purple thing in the background scares me.

Oooh. That's a great one. I love the different colors, but it looks so lonely. Looks like some of the morbid pictures I took back in my high school days. Well, I thought they were artistic and expressive, but everyone else just called them "morbid." :-)

    the leaves change colors
then they blow off the tree
    then they become mulch
    and feed the earth
so the new growth will thrive
    and be strong

Let's rethink the Leta-as-Republican bit - I see some upsides here. If she grows up to be Republican after living with you two vocal liberals for 18 years, she's probably going to be one of those rich and successful Republicans (after all, she'll need a huge pay-off for all the shit she's going to take). What will she do with all her money?

Take care of her elderly parents, of course.

You'll be so old and constipated by then, it won't matter which way she votes.

Truly beautiful picture and the hair is great, no matter what color it is. And I think you turned out just fine, no matter what your step-father says. I hope Leta never crawls as well.

It's a nice photo, but when are your photos going to become a little more edgy? Experimentation is good.

That leaf looks like a big kiss, just hanging there.

And skip the crawling Leta. Skip it!

If "every day" makes the second line break strangely and stuff won't fit, try:

    I take photos
    with a Nikon
    D70 every day

As a headline, we would say it's got a bad break in it -- you really want Nikon and D70 on the same line. But, then, you're not a newspaper.

Yes, I am pathetic and obsessed. Thank you.

What exactly is "edgy"? Maybe Cara wants some artsy pictures of Leta's diapers.

My little brother never crawled either. He scooted around on his little baby tushy. I remember still being in my, "i so don't approve of this new THING in MY house" phase, and his scooting about confirmed my theory that he was, in fact, an alien. Of course he also scooted from one side of the room to the other eating the houseplants.

He went straight from scooting on his heinie to running full steam ahead everywhere and crashing into things. He was also by this point adamently opposed to clothing, and would often streak through the living room squealing when my parents had company over.

Between the ages of 3 and 6 he would only wear his superman underoos and a cape and he survived on cheetos and peanut butter sandwhiches.

We found out a few years later that he has an IQ of like 182.

    Hrmph.

Beautiful...here in southwestern Oklahoma the leaves go from green to dead-leaf-brown seemingly overnight.
In other news--I found another tarantula in my bathroom this morning.
    Who wants to move here?!

    Amanda,
It must have been the cheetos and peanut butter diet. Who knew?! We were all led to believe the "breakfast of champions" was Wheaties! Come to find out it's Cheetos, instead. Oh my misspent youth... ;)

nice bokeh, are you using the kIt lens? All apologies if this comes out in all caps, for some reason the comment form refuses to print any lowercase letters. maybe i should give in to the darkside and use internet exploiter.
