Which is just weird.

Can I just say... speaking as a 100% Dooce fan, as someone who cheers when she posts a hater's email address to the WHOLE WIDE WORLD, as someone who would probably totally join the Dooce Fan Club if there was one... I've never really felt the "Chuck's so handsome! And dreamy!" love that happens here sometimes. I suspect it's because I'm a cat person, with my only dog allegiance belonging solely to huskies. I had huskies as a kid and grew up believing that all dogs should be black-and-white. With pointy ears. And fluffy, curling tails.
However. All that said: those puppy pictures of Chuck are, for real, the cutest goddamned thing I have seen in... well, about 3 weeks, since that day I ran into a guy with a 13-week-old husky puppy at the PetSmart.
How could someone just abandon such a cute puppy on a park bench? People are so scary.

Today, just for fun (why do I torture myself so??) hubby and I went to the pet store on the way home from the weekly grocery shop (cause that is what you do for fun when you have three kids under 12). I admit that I sometimes think I'm getting old WAY too fast, but I often turn on the subtitles so that I don't miss anything. I used to do it even more, but I still do it. And sometimes, if I don't hear something very clearly, I rewind and turn on subtitles and replay. Certain shows need subtitles more than others. Joan of Arcadia can be hard to hear, for instance.
Oh, and I'm 26. So, you should tell your dad he's in good company. At least I like to think I'm good company!

First I had a TV with a broken sound setting so I could never turn it up above a whisper. Now I always watch TV with the captions on and the sound off or our baby wakes up. I kinda forget that TV has sound and it always seems to be turned up WAY TOO LOUD at anyone else's house.
