Shane needs more doing

I'm headed out to Doo-shane in about 20 minutes with my entire family (my brother, Ranger, visiting from Seattle included) to see the progress on my mother's cabin being built IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. I think it's the raging Mormon in her, to settle and build a home in the desert where there are no available resources to sustain life. If Moses and Brigham Young could do it, so can she.

I have a few hundred photos to post from the weekend, and I'll get to that later. But first, here's my favorite quote from the weekend as uttered by the woman speaking with me on my panel when the organizer of the conference introduced her to me:

"You're Heather Armstrong? Really? I thought you would be more...more sophisticated. More put together."

Nice to meet you, too!
