The turret in our bedroom

We're decorating the new house very, very slowly, room by room as our budget allows. First we tackled the office, then the breakfast nook in the kitchen, and then the playroom for the girls. We've bought a few things here and there for other rooms, but we haven't yet tackled any other cohesive designs.

At the end of 2010 we attended a scratch and dent sale at Ethan Allen and found this chair for a total steal, and I knew when I saw it that I wanted to design our bedroom around it. So far, we have this chair and the black-out shades in the windows. That's it. The rest of the room probably won't come together for another year, but that's okay, I'll have a blast every step of the way. It also gives me an excuse to spend an inordinate amount of time reading my favorite design blogs for inspiration.
