An unfiltered fire hose of flaming condemnation

Final photos from Amsterdam

I have finally finished uploading all the photos I took in Amsterdam to my flickr account, lo these four weeks later. I personally think these are some of the best photos I’ve ever taken, and I guess it didn’t hurt that the subject matter was so unbelievable that it practically took the pictures itself.

You can see the whole set of photos I took here. Jon’s set of photos (which blow mine out of the water) are here.

These are some of my favorites from the set I just uploaded:

  • abby

Lovely pictures, Heather. Thank you for sharing them. I love those gold hoop earrings you’re wearing in some of them. Where did you get them? I want them!

  • Kelli

Great photos — it was like an extra large dose of the daily photo.
My favorite is the one of the Anne Frank house. It was one of my favorite stops while I was in Amsterdam a few years & was glad you captured it.
Looking forward to all of your adventures to come…

  • Yea, the kitty and the flowers are nice….but my favorite is Jon with the pipe and the smoke!

    Action Shot!

  • You are overrun with talent, you bitch.

You shouldn’t be able to write like that AND take pictures like those. So jealous.

    (The pipe shot is gorgeous.)

    Hi Heather!
I love your pictures, they are gorgeous!! I also wanted to say that it never ceases to amaze me how resilient you are, even in the face of ridiculously judgemental asshats. Rock on, sister.

  • I am glad you had fun in Amsterdam. It’s one of my most favorite places to visit in the world. Thanks for sharing the photos of your trip.

  • Laurie

I was wondering if you guys had made it to the Anne Frank House.

    Great pictures

  • DivineMsG

Both of you are extremely talented. Thanks so much for the tour.

  • The kitty and the flowers: excellent

    Color me jealous.

  • Molicious

I absolutely love the shot of Jon with the pipe. It’s just incredible.

  • HeatherK

Breathtaking! So when does Leta get her first camera?

  • I can’t help but beg you to go over what you do in Photoshop to give all your photos that gorgeous, lucious, beautiful saturation and contrast. They are just yummy. Great photos.

  • Absolutely stunning. All of them.

  • Jerusalem

I love all these pics plus the others you uploaded before. Now these would make a fab calender…or wallpaper, or screensavers… Have you ever thought of selling prints of some of your photo’s?

  • jes

The picture of that cat peeking around the door is so cute! AND I DON’T EVEN LIKE CATS.

Also, how do you do this? It’s as if you actually killed the cat, and then posed it to make it APPEAR AS THOUGH it was peering around the door, so you could capture the moment.

And that pink flowery twiggy thing? Love it.

  • Gorgeous pictures! I especially like the one of the pink-ish branches. Very pretty.

  • Cindy

Beautiful, beautiful pictures! I love the depth of field and subject focus. Lovely! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

  • First of all, in the five minutes it took me to sign up to TypeKey, you got 7 comments. Good luck with that!

Second, thanks for cheering me up. Usually, on a daily basis, but more so recently. Im 21, and my father has recently been through divorce… he’s finally been issued prozac because he wasn’t coping and I went and read your depression posts; inspiration and a comfort to us all 🙂

    Thirdly, nice pics 😀

  • Heather

I love the pics. It’s too bad you can’t be here in a month or two, the tulips are beautiful. If I had any talent with a camera, I could send some to you. Alas, I do not, the camera is also deployed with my husband anyway 🙂

  • Quite lovely, Heather. Worth the wait.

  • Wow, these shots are amazing! Now I want to go to Amsterdam for more than just the weed! 🙂

I especially love the photo of the kitty! That is precious!

  • Your shots are fantastic!

  • Katie L

Those are just beautiful. The cat peeking around the doorway makes me laugh.

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
