Winding down before bedtime
When we put Leta’s pajamas on at night she likes to pull the shirt she has worn all day up over her head like it is a hat. Last night she did this when Jon put her into her pajamas, and then she walked into the kitchen where I was wiping down the counters. “Mama!” she said. “I want to show you a present!” And then she laughed like it was the funniest thing anyone on Earth has ever done. Everything else that Jon and I did after she went to bed was pretty much a disappointment after that.
