Dane

Pen pals

Tuesday night’s fourth grade homework about did us all in, the width and breadth of it and the fact that it took so long to complete that Leta went to bed an hour after her normal bedtime. Entertaining Marlo while trying to help with a multiplication problem is not unlike juggling knives. Luckily Dane was around the following night and they “colored paper” for a bit, and this not only helped me concentrate on Leta but it also gave Marlo some practice with a writing utensil. I will eventually get around to teaching both kids the importance of sending birthday cards and handwritten thank you notes, but right now the focus is on getting Marlo to write an R than resembles an R and not four different lines jutting out in different directions.

I love her tiny little hand holding that giant pen and the fact that she isn’t at that moment using it as a weapon.
