Rachel Chamberlain

Georgia

This is my friend Rachel’s daughter Georgia who attends summer camp with Leta. Georgia is one of four children, the only girl, a miniature replica of her mother. Even though she’s only six years old she and Leta have struck up a unique and easy friendship made hilarious by the fact that Georgia can’t ever get Leta’s name right. Whenever she sees Leta at camp she runs up to hug her and screams, “LEE-AAAAANNNNNN!”

“Leta,” my child will explain. “It’s LETA.”

Don’t worry, Georgia. Most people don’t pronounce it right. You were closer than most.
