I believe this is a lily, although if I'm wrong I'm sure you'll send me an email and snicker. It sprouted in our front yard this year, but since I don't remember it being there last year its presence is a welcome surprise. We've not done any landscaping this year because in the past our ignorance about gardening has caused us to screw things up. But if anyone asks, I'm going to take full credit for this beauty.
