the smell of my desperation has become a stench

The hard winter calls for desperate measures

Jon actually took this photo a few days ago with our telephoto lens as these deer ate what is left of the grass in the yard across the street. We were back in the office when we heard Chuck barking, which means he’s either telling Coco to shove it or there is something we should probably investigate. So I walked to the door to investigate the calamity taking place in our driveway, but I couldn’t see anything. The deer blended right in with the color of the branches on all the trees. I finally noticed one of their ears twitching, and that’s when I called for Jon. He slowly opened the door, snuck outside and snapped a few shots while I sat on top of Coco to get her to stop charging the door. Because she could totally take those deer.

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
