Walking with the dogs the other night I stumbled across a portion of the sidewalk covered in acorns, and I realized I haven’t seen one of these in years. And I know that sounds so dumb, but I seriously cannot remember the last time I saw one of these or held one in my hand. It reminded me of childhood when I’d collect them and then try to crack them open. But even those were a different color, perhaps much more brown than this one, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a green one like this. Which led to some google searches and now I know much more about acorns than I really need to.
