the smell of my desperation has become a stench

Miss Combs

Sunday night Cami stopped by for a couple of hours to have dinner and play with the girls. She’s been working so much lately that we haven’t seen her in a few weeks, so when I told the girls on Friday that they’d see her on Sunday they suddenly treated me as if I’d bought them the moon. Cami? CAMI? Cami is coming over? Well, then. Maybe life ISN’T the most boring thing ever. Maybe there IS hope for the future. Maybe we AREN’T all going to die, MOM.

Cami has got to feel drunk on this kind of power.

That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
