the smell of my desperation has become a stench

On the hill

I took this a few days ago on the way to a friend’s house, one who very recently suffered a terrible tragedy. The Capitol Building always reminds me of driving to her house and the nights spent laughing in the nook just off of her kitchen. I wanted to publicly send her all of my love and let her know that her strength in the midst of this is so inspiring. Her friendship has taught me so much, mostly about what it means to be a friend and the lengths you should go for those you love. She can come over to my house and try to swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon any time.

That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
