This was the quilt Jon’s mother made and gave to us when we got married, and if you could see the tiny details you would, like me, want to take a nap from the idea of how much work went into this. For a while these colors matched the palette of my entire house, and although my taste has expanded into a more diverse set of colors this quilt still has a permanent place at the end of our bed. Again, this is something I hope to pass on to Leta, and I know at that point she’s going to be all, um, what am I supposed to do with all these quilts? And I’ll be all CHERISH THEM.
