You can’t tell from this photo taken at one of the beaches along the North Shore of Massachusetts, but it was so hot and humid that I vowed I would never come back to Utah and say one word about the heat here. WE HAVE NO IDEA. I thought that a week of 104 degree temperatures would have prepared me for a Northeastern summer. But, no. Hell to the no. The humidity there was totally crippling. We are spoiled in Utah. We are total babies. In fact, Leta was complaining this morning that the heat was unbearable and I had to stop myself from wagging my finger in her face and saying, “There are children in Massachusetts who would think this kind of heat is a blessing!”
So now I have the Africa talk AND the Massachusetts talk. Always adding to the armory of parenthood.
