Where’s Chuck to come clean up some drool when you need him? Great picture. Bet you were happier at the MRI pics, though. Glad everyone’s OK over there.

Awwwe she’s a master at blowing spit bubbles! If there’s ever an event in the Olypics for Spit-Bubble-Blowing, my money’s on her for the gold 🙂 Go Leta!!!

I am very glad that you are tolerating the agony that doing the PT with the girlie is causing the the both of you. I have a very clear understanding of how hard it is to do things like that to people you love, because you know they need it. Unfortunately knowing this doesn’t make the pain any less when she screams.

    Stay strong!

Does Leta know how lucky she is to have full lips? I am so glad the MRI gave you happy news.

Ah! It looks like the only thing Miss Leta is suffering from now is perhaps a case of Black Pearls.
*Black Pearls- the bits of fuzz that collect in the space where a babies neck should be (but isn’t) after a day’s worth of drooling and bib-wearing.
Do you think she would be interested in a man 3mos younger than her? My Miko is 4mos and he looks like Theodore from The Chipmunks. Is that her style, you think?

    2004/09/14 at 7:06 am

Ah! Beautiful photo of the unfortunately-not-that-rare spit stalactite.

SO glad that Leta is okay. 🙂

Is it a photographic trick or do I spy red hair on Miss Leta? Every time I think she’s gotten to her cutest, you top it with another great picture. So glad everything went well at the doctor!

Though of you guys all day yesterday, phew, and thank you for posting. Nothing makes you more thankful for a mostly healthy child than visiting a children’s hospital.

    2004/09/14 at 6:31 am

“I am paralyzed by cuteness. Cant. Move. Too. Cute.”

  • kim

    2004/09/14 at 6:35 am

I think that’s skin and a pink bandanna around her neck. ;o) ??

isn’t it just a great age where you have to change them all day because they slabber so much their shirt looks like they took a shower every hour if you happen to forget the bandanna? nice. she’s really cute – and you know it ;o) i’m glad she’s fine, too!

  • sab

    2004/09/14 at 6:41 am

You don’t know me (and that should be a great relief to you-ha!) but I enjoy reading here when I get time and was coming by to catch up when I read about Miss Thang’s MRI!…wanted to let you know I’m sharing your relieved exhaustion! I know those are scary for kids..my (now 15yo!) oldest son had a spinal MRI when he was little.

This picture is absolutely adorable, btw…is it legal for so much cutie to belong to just one patootie?

    Sorry. That just slipped out.

    The muse struck:
    Lovely Leta sweeter babe
    Lovely Leta sweeter babe
    Lovely Leta sweeter babe
    Nothing will ever harm you
When it gets dark we’ll throw all fears away
    Standing by the electric heater
Looking down, a glimpse of Leta
Filling in her diaper with a little brown poop!
With rosebud mouth, she looks much older,
And her bib across her shoulder
Makes her look a little like a little rock star!
    Lovely Leta sweeter babe
    May I inquire discreetly
    When are you free
To give a hug to me
Every time we try to feed her
She makes a mess with her dinner
Don’t you know we always have to clean up again
Get the mop to clean up faster
Set her down after the disaster
Sitting on the sofa with Heather and Jon
    Oh lovely Leta sweeter babe
Where would we be without you
Give us a wink and make us think of you

OK so it’s not great poetry but it just spilled out, I couldn’t help it. She’s cute.

I’ll just throw my “WHEEWWWW” into the mix. I’m very glad to read things are hunky-dory in Leta Land. But, as a mom, I know all too well that telling you “don’t worry” is like saying “sun, don’t come up”.

Heather B. Armstrong

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
