This probably goes under the category of kids’ things that I love more than the kids do, but this book is a work of pure genius, a collection of fourteen rhyming stories by Calef Brown. The illustrations are super cool, the type of thing I’d love to frame and hang in Leta’s room. And then the stories are just so silly and filled with sentences that make Leta laugh out loud. There’s one story about Polkabats, bats that are covered in spots obviously, and at one point it rhymes “words” with “turds” and Leta stopped breathing she was laughing so hard. For you folks keeping track, it’s moments like reading this book with my five-year-old that go firmly in the column of why you should have kids.
