I’m going to go ahead and admit that almost every book I read these days is a download on my iPad. However, I am still a total sucker for coffee table books, the real thing. I love the heft of them, the vibrant, tangible colors. I love the mood they can give to a room just by sitting there waiting to be picked up and explored.
The French Dog is a perfect example of one that I’d use to bring a coffee table to life. It’s a stunning collection of dachshunds, poodles, Labradors, and collies, all in various romantic locations in Paris and French villages. Dogs splashing in public fountains, dogs leisurely walking through palatial chateaux, dogs fetching sticks in idyllic ponds.
Yeah, I know. The stereotype is that French people are snooty. But this book will have you thinking, well, at least their dogs aren’t!
