This is a bit of a crappy iPhone shot from inside a very bright hallway, but I didn’t have a better camera on me yesterday when I took a quick day trip to Southern California for work. I got back to John Wayne Airport in Orange County just in time to witness this sunset. I can’t decide if I had such visceral reaction because that’s just what sunsets do, they wow the shit out of you. Or if it is because I so rarely see them. I realized last night that I haven’t seen one in months, and while this one transformed and changed from yellow to pink to flaming red I could not stop watching.
Like, all the usual stuff people say that makes you want to throw up BUT IS ACTUALLY SO TRUE: life is short and the world is beautiful and we are just tiny little specks in the fabric of space.
