the smell of my desperation has become a stench

To commemorate that very hot Sunday morning run

About a week after I returned from Tanzania I received this personalized print from Jennifer Hill who runs JHillDesign. It features my time, my number and the date and location of the half-marathon I ran at Kilimanjaro. I was and still am processing all the emotion of that race, and this was such a welcome and beautiful surprise. Thank you, Jennifer.

It also felt like a nod from the Universe because I’ve been thinking that I want to continue running. I’ve started to like it. I’ve started looking forward to a quick five miles. Something happened during my training and that race that lit this up inside me. So I’m hoping that I’ll get to order more of these in my future (and working to bring that time down a bit).

Heather B. Armstrong

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
