This was the street outside our hotel in Jacmel, Haiti, a rare moment when it wasn’t full of bustling motorcycles. It’s nice to remember the intense, consuming heat of the two days I spent there as it was seven degrees outside when I woke up this morning. It’s been a few weeks and only recently have I stopped swatting at ghost mosquitos I think are hovering nearby.
