This is Garner, 10-month-old younger brother of Lily, son of my former babysitter and assistant Katey. Whoa, does he look like his sister. They stopped by for a few hours on Saturday so that Katey could show Leta some videos she shot back when she first started babysitting in 2004. It’s hard for me to remember my lanky, long-haired Leta as anything but the sarcastic and hysterical and bespectacled girl that she is now, and it’s especially weird to see her at age two point to a group of letters and say, “Mom!” And being right about what it says, especially given that her sister at age five would look at those same letters and say, “It says, ‘I DO NOT CARE AT ALL.'”
It’ll be interesting to see how different Garner is from his own sister.
