Making a case for technology

2012/12/07

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kids need to get outside more. Kids need to read more books and get their hands dirty in mud and grass and paint and glitter. They need to hug chickens and milk cows. We know this already, researchers. Get out of your laboratories and go download some porn.

Do you see these two? After Leta got dressed for school they snuggled up in this chair so that Marlo could watch her play a game. Marlo isn’t skilled enough to master this game yet, so she loves to watch Leta’s character run and jump through the maze. They remained in this embrace for a good half hour. They’ll get around to hugging those chickens, but for right now I’m thrilled that the iPad brought them together like this. Thank you, Steve Jobs.
