Haha! I am the FIRST ONE to leave a comment.

OK, I don’t really have anything to say. Shame…

Oh, I’ve been patiently (tappity, tap, tap) waiting for more pics!

    Sooo cute!

Of course, there’s nothing funny about a poor froggy on its back, screaming, “Help, I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up!”
Okay, stupid joke, yes, but it’s MONDAY people, give me a break!

    God bless,
    LadyBug

Thank you so much….I’ve had a bad morning at the office and had a quick minute to check here, and chuckled out loud….quite loud. Thank you for sharing.

My little guy kept walking out of his shoe, I was so frustrated. I kept telling my hubby, “He HAS to wear shoes!” Finally we just put a different pair of shoes on…they stayed on just fine.

  • Angie

Poor Leta, more of a tadpole than a frog I guess!

    2004/11/01 at 7:40 am

LMAO That is a beautiful photo! One I’m sure she’ll appreciate in a few years. 😉

Yes, I’m the same type of mother…we have oodles of photos of my son crying. My husband just thinks it’s cruel. I personally think it’s hilarious.

I laughed this morning when the baby whacked herself in the head with a rattle. You are not alone.

seems we share the same motherly instinct! Here’s to the many bandaids our children will go through over the years!

Ha — too cute. I’m so with you, though. The first time our daughter had a tantrum (and by that I mean she lay screaming on the floor and kicked her feet), we laughed and took pictures. Yeah, CPS should be coming any day now to collect our kids.

Ha I am #28! A record for me! No #1 here I come!!

People, this, and excuse me for bringing football into this, Heather’s comments page is becoming like the AP college football poll.

Baby, yes of course, is totally cute. Maybe I will make my wife happy some day and agree to have one.

she looks like the turtle princess!

how do you not bite her feet like every 12 seconds?

  • Beth

    2004/11/01 at 8:14 am

That just reminds me of the part in “A Christmas Story” when Ralphie’s brother falls down in that huge snow suit, and he’s rolling around and can’t get up!

  • Gordon

    2004/11/01 at 8:17 am

    Now I am #28!

  • Karen Rani

    2004/11/01 at 8:18 am

Poor frog baby – we put a witch’s hat on the baby (4 months old now) last night and took pictures while he screamed…..I’m so with you Heather…..wait till you have a 2nd child – they get treated even more poorly! ROFL!

    2004/11/01 at 8:20 am

Add an extra element of humor to the falling down by putting a bit too much powder in the diaper. Once she’s actually bipedal it’ll be hilarious every time she does the sit-fall thing and poofs of baby powder billow out.

You should make a special halloween photo gallery, full of leta and chuck in their costumes

I am laughing so hard at your nubbin for today. I can just imagine the look on your husbands face when he heard you say that, priceless.

Of course Leta is gorgeous! I love that costume.

  • Karen

    2004/11/01 at 8:30 am

    Where’d all the snow go?

  • Daniel

    2004/11/01 at 8:35 am

Heather, I’m curious: is that you there on the right, with the ribbon wand and the lacey white dress? Or is that DJ Blurb?

    2004/11/01 at 8:37 am

…One fell off and bumped her head
The Mommy called the dr. and the dr. said…

Why did you push her that was sooo mean…..hehehe sorry, that was my sad attempt at humor, again…..

  • Heatheranne

    2004/11/01 at 8:42 am

That’s a good story to tell your future son in law.

  • liz

    2004/11/01 at 8:49 am

Well at least she’s got both of her socks on.

i think today is the first time I’ve seen someone actually be right when they say they are first to comment. Congrats Sven.

  • Julie

    2004/11/01 at 8:57 am

Hahahahaha…I can’t stop laughing! Those drunken midgets are so funny sometimes. The look on Leta’s face just cracks me up. (And don’t worry, I totally would have kept taking pictures too.)

OMG, I’m number 40-something! Why are we so concerned with being #1? Anyway … thanks for getting that picture before (instead of?) helping her up. It’s what any good mother would do 😉

  • beachgal

    2004/11/01 at 9:11 am

Maybe if we all keep asking for more pics of Leta and Chuck, Dooce will give in and post more?

Please post more Halloween pics. Pretty please, with sushi on top?

  • Amanda B.

    2004/11/01 at 9:13 am

Of course, you realize she will use this picture later in life when she really really “needs” that cell phone/car/D&G purse/prom dress…etc.

“well, mom…remember when I kept falling over and you kept taking pictures…, it’s…it’s just going to take time for me to heal from that…” *mamadooce forks over cash*

I tried it on my parents anyway. Didn’t work.

  • arielle

    2004/11/01 at 9:14 am

those are some nice socks she’s wearing. both of them!

    😉

  • Joanna

    2004/11/01 at 9:22 am

    Absolutely adorable.

P.S. Any self-respecting mother would do as you did and continue taking pictures. I have pictures of my daughter stuck under an exersaucer (yes I said *under*), pics of tantrums, pics of yellow rubber gloves on her feet… the list goes on.

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
