the smell of my desperation has become a stench

Our hair done got did

Monday night I had some portraits taken of me and the girls (a second attempt as the photographer I worked with the first time was a right out asshole and the old Heather would have gone off on him publicly because no one should have to pay to be treated that way, but maybe our situation was an isolated incident and I’m softening as I age and careen toward death, whee!). Leta and I had our hair washed and blown dry at one of those fancy blow dry bars just for the occasion. The stylists gathered around her head and were like OH MY GOD YOUR DAUGHTER’S HAIR. I know. It’s insane. It’s thick and the natural highlights seem totally unnatural. It’s a shame that she will not let me play with it and style it more, but last night she indulged us all. And she looked spectacular is my totally unbiased opinion. I can’t wait to see the photos.

Heather B. Armstrong

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
