Leta has over five years of experience living with someone younger than she is who quite often demands a lot of attention. Marlo has… none. McKenzie and I would exchange knowing glances last weekend when Marlo would exhibit discomfort or jealousy that Maeve was the center of everything. She didn’t ever get mean, but she’d start talking louder or acting much more flamboyantly to pull the energy in the room back to herself. Leta was perfectly content to sit back and watch Maeve be the magnificent baby that she is.
If kids had to carry around a résumé Leta’s would most definitely include “have endured five years of my younger sibling destroying everything that is mine and not once have I ever pinched her.”
