Leta’s piano recitals are very informal events that give students the experience of playing in front of audiences in preparation for a bigger, scarier, more judgmental event. She has to wear formal attire, and even though the guests are not required to I look at her recitals as an excuse to kick off my daily workout uniform. Nothing too dressy or elaborate, just something that says, “I am so proud of your talent that I am willing to shower.”
