Her permanent place

While I have a formal dining table in the kitchen I don’t use it very often for meals. It usually serves as the surface upon which I fold and stack laundry. Instead, the girls and I usually eat at the countertop bar that separates the living room from the kitchen. Coco eats there as well because she’s keenly aware that Marlo is still working on getting all her food from the plate to her mouth. “Still working” meaning our meals are always decorated with outbursts of, “Oops!” and, “It’s okay! Coco will get it!” and, “UGH! COCO ATE IT!”

Coco, our mixed blessing.

Sometimes when we are at a restaurant and Marlo spills her food, I look around for the dog who is going to take care of the mess for me.
