the smell of my desperation has become a stench

Sunday was Tyrant’s birthday, and I feel terrible that I’m only just now getting around to recognizing it. But he has to cut me some slack because the man does not age. He will forever look like he’s in his mid twenties. That has a lot to do with the fact that he lives like he’s in his mid twenties, always making time for friends and activities, approaching everything with a very carefree attitude. And I need to publicly thank him for everything he has done for me and this business, especially since I moved into this house. He manages himself, finds the things that need to be taken care of before they become a problem, walks into the line of fire to make things safe for me to follow.

He loves my animals and my kids and is a very integral part of this family and this home. My kids are lucky that they will have lasting memories of John LaCaze. Happy birthday, Tyrant.

Hi. I’m Heather B. Armstrong, and this used to be called mommy blogging. But then they started calling it Influencer Marketing: hashtag ad, hashtag sponsored, hashtag you know you want me to slap your product on my kid and exploit her for millions and millions of dollars. That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
