The weather has been nice enough the past couple of days that when I let the dogs out in the morning I can keep the door open and breathe in the crisp air and listen to the birds chirping, birds I would normally want to knock over with a rock but it’s early in the season. My encounters with wildlife have been minimal this year so far: a small spider in the bathtub, a boxelder bug on the doorway, a ladybug I had to save from my daughter. I’m feeling forgiving of the birds and squirrels. Today.
