Our Lady of Perpetual Depression

Mirror mirror

This is another shot taken up at Mirror Lake that shows just how fast the weather and sky can change up there at 10,000 feet. Compare it to this photo that was taken about a half hour after this one. That one is so much more gloomy and cold and feels like winter. Whereas this one is much brighter, so crisp and calm. The first time I ever heard thunder and saw lightning in Utah was my first visit to this little lake back in 2003, about an hour after I had arrived to clear skies. If you visit this little corner of Utah be sure to pack for all seasons.

That’s how this shit works. Now? Well… sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
